TPO Placements for the year 2010-11 as of 12 August 2011

·         The Training and Placement Cell commenced the Placement season with gusto and enthusiasm with TCS, Mumbai being the first company visiting the campus. The college also hosted a car major Renault Nissan for its Research and Development center at Chennai.

·         The college had a first of sorts on 23^rd-24^th February 2011 when it hosted campus recruitment of Syntel, Pune for 18 colleges across North Karnataka and Goa. There were a total of 300 students from KLE, SDM College of Engineering, RIET, GEC and other colleges in North Karnataka and Goa.

·         Panasonic Avionics, Dubai visited our campus and recruited 11 of our students. The students would be shortly travelling to Dubai to join the company.

·         Prior to commencement of the placement season, the students had an aptitude and personality development training program to prepare them for answering aptitude tests, interviews, writing CVs,  and Intensive Group discussions.

Placements in 2010 as of 28 June 2010

• Tech Mahindra, Pune recruited a record 30 students and TCS hired 26 students this year from the branches of Computers, Electronics and Telecommunication and Information Technology.
• Topaz Engineering, Dubai recruited our Mechanical Engineering student Mr. Reagan Fernandes for their operations in Dubai at a record salary of Rs. 12 lac p.a.
• Three shipping companies namely Angloeastern, Bharath Institute of Maritime Studies and Raj Rachana Shipping offered jobs to 35 students of Mechanical and Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.
• The other companies this year were Persistent Systems Ltd – Goa, Vedanta , Volkswagen, Cartini , Sulzer , Rivon Engg and Chowgule among others.

Placements in 2009

• Cognizant Technology Solutions, Pune and Wipro Technologies, Pune were the biggest recruiters in the year 2009 hiring 49 and 47 students respectively.
• Persistent Systems Ltd., Goa hired 10 students including the branch toppers of Computers, Electronics & Telecommunication and Information Technology.

Placements in 2008

• A record 293 job offers were made in this year. TCS, Pune, Wipro and Uttam Gawa Steels collectively contributing to 85 offers.
• IBM, Persistent Systems, Tech Mahindra, L&T Infotech, Hughes Communications were other significant recruiters.
• This year witnesses International placements in the form of Tadmur - Qatar, Panasonic Avionics Corp and Wartsila - Dubai.
