About
The Library is the heart of an educational
institution. The same is true with our Library also.
It includes stacking area, reference section, main
reading area and separate reading area for reference section. The
main reading section can accommodate about 100 students. The reading
area of reference section can accommodate about 20 students.
Currently the Library holds a collection of 13,000
books which include textbooks as well as reference books. The field
of engineering is fast developing; to help the students and the
staff keep abreast of the current developments, the Library
regularly subscribes to 47 periodicals out of which 13 are
international journals and 34 national journals.
This is an age of digital libraries.
Computerization of the library is already in process with an aim to
help our patrons in utilizing the resources more efficiently by
keeping all relevant information (like new arrivals, availability of
titles of their interests etc.) at their finger tips. The INTERNET
lead information explosion is changing the way we look at the world
by making information available to every one in a cheap and
efficient way. To harness the positive potential of the INTERNET for
our user community, the library will be INTERNET-enabled
shortly.
