What we do ?

Konseisanv Balgram is an open orphanage, consisting of 22 cottages, each housing at least ten boys and girls from the age of 4 to adolescence, under the loving care of a woman the children call “mother”. We provide these destitute children the necessities of life through donations and sponsorships from countries around the world.

Our aim of fostering through Educational & Charitable Institutions, love and understanding among the people of various communities of India’s development and self-reliance, has been successful since December 1987, as we have strived to give the children the love, care and support they so desperately need as children and young adults so that they may enter the world of independent living profitably.

These children are placed in the Balgram on a referral basis. Some children have one parent, some have two, however, these parents have been struck with an ill-fated fortune and are not able to provide for their child(ren). This may be due to an illness, death or otherwise, nevertheless, our community is a nonjudgmental one and we treat every child as our own. We are a Christian community; still we do not discriminate against any class, creed, religion or race.
